.177 results at 37 yards. 50°, very calm, just slightest bit of breeze - almost perfect conditions. Lousy, but at least consistently lousy. (disregard shots with slash mark - that was from something else) Averaged a hair over 1 1/4” for seven groups. Single best group was #5 at .937” when I took Buck-Rail moderator off to see what effect it may be having on groups. WAY too loud to shoot in my neighborhood without it. Couple other groups were very close to 1 inch, so #5 may have just been a lucky one. By the end of last group, pressure had dropped to a little over 1400 and I could tell pellets were starting to drop. That was actually at 40 shots total. (shot five at prairie dog) Scope/rings combo I have are coming off to be replaced with something else, I was TOTALLY maxed out on elevation and windage to right - not conducive for best scope performance. I also need to do something about a better shooting bench - shooting off a kinda shaky patio table right now. Sorry for the long post, but I have no one else to share this with. I love you guys! *snif*

Which one did you get?
Well I got my new buck tapered .25 hearing protecting and H&N pellets and first 5 were amazing all touching in an overlapping line, It was like the heavens opened. Then it went horrible pellets flying every which way. Take off my hearing protection look inside and there is definitely strike mark line.

I ordered a .22 cal that I'm planning to do some work on and then give as a gift. When it arrived Thursday, I checked the crown and although the lands are beveled to different lengths:

I'm not seeing any pilot damage to the lands further down so that was a pleasant surprise. To get a quick baseline, I cleaned the barrel, mounted a scope, aired it up, and headed outside to test a few different pellets. At 30 yards, CPHP and Daisy hollow points were each printing groups in the 3/4" to 1" range which isn't bad at all for these pellets in a completely stock budget PCP. However when I grabbed the tin of Norma 17.6gr domes, it promptly turned in a group measuring 0.195" CTC, well under MoA:

The next day I tried a couple more groups with the Normas. Not as magical as the first (0.490" and 0.460") but still exceeding my expectations for a $130 PCP in OEM form.

So it's showing good potential and I expect it will improve with some barrel work.

Nice shooting! Glad to hear that about the Normas, I just got 6,000 of them today from PA, along with another 12,000 of different calibers and weights. I’m a sucker for a good sale.
