Cross platform Leshiy 2

How’s the accuracy?

Great, look at the previous page.

I meant with the king heavies at 1009fps! That’s HOT!!!

I can only shoot this at the range (not where I live) so tinkering and target shooting are different days.

More just an example what it can do, Chuck shoots them at 1050 accurately so I would assume similar to that.

Last week I just replaced my .25 cal 700mm STX-A with a Superior Heavy. You giving me some ideas now :)

A problem I am seeing already how to support that long liner...a longer handguard maybe.

The handguard doesn't support the barrel at all, I used 20x14mm (3mm wall) CF then tensioned with the FX thread protector. I have some other ones coming won't look so goofy.

I threw on the .22 500mm setup and got 58fpe with JSB Beast. Not too far off 900fps.

I have that heavy liner too haven't shot it much yet.

Even with a 700mm it's a full 5 inches shorter than a Red Wolf HP with a 4 inch longer barrel.

Aliexpress.........

The 14mm ID was OK to slide on?

On my older 500 and 600mm barrel houses I had to open up the ID a little bit. On the 700 it slid right on.

To open it up I taped a piece of 80grit sand paper onto a 1/2" dowel and put it in a drill and ran it back and forth. Only took a few mins. Wear a good quality mask you don't want to breathe that dust.

I got 58fpe with the 500mm .22 and was curious what it would make with the 700mm .22. Both with beasts, got 100fps and 12fpe more with the 700mm so 70fpe in .22. I've kept track of how much I've adjusted the reg from factory and figure I'm between 145-150 bar.

Dual .2 jets.

...I'm between 145-150 bar.
Dual .2 jets.

Friend of my is busy in the shop but I am tinkering to make some Reg.tester for this game, as we know investing into new externally adjustable Reg is not giving us full functionality so going that direction is no bueno.

My jets also marked 0.2+0.2 but I measured with wire gauge 0.3+0.5.

I have no idea where is my Reg @ still factory "setting" or whatever they just put it together :) .

Also my FX radar is back to AGS for services, so I don't want to work anything blindly.

Like I posted in the leshiy thread the factory-installed ones might be drilled out so don't go by the numbers. I have the jet kit so I'm using those. For factory reg pressures I believe 120 for .22 and 130 for .25 iirc.

It was shooting real hot when I got it and wasting air, I turned it down to 90 then up to 100 then now at this setting just to see what it does.

I'm just gonna get that external adjustable reg when they come will be handy with all the length and caliber changing I like to do.

Been lucky with my fx chrony its been flawless for over a year.

What do you mean using the repr part on our guns is no bueno?

..........What do you mean using the repr part on our guns is no bueno?

really cannot remember where I read that (and btw I did not pay much attention what was that about)

Quick question about the trigger. As I am pulling the trigger, if I do it very slowly, there is a point at which I can hear air escaping but the gun is not firing just yet. Is this normal?

this is normal. Mine does the same , the trigger pull is more of a quick jerk than a steady pull.

BigHun,

I do believe that the extra parts that are included in the REPR will reduce the dwell time of the valve for the .22 and smaller calibers. How many shots are you trying to get from one fill?

I think I read that Ed said those repr parts will not fit the "old valve". Only work with the newest valve. Only the adjustable reg section will work with our guns.

Yeah I don't care so much about those other parts. Yes makes it more efficient in .22 and below like he says. You can put bigger sized jets and a puck with a small hole and get a decent shot count and good power from what I see. It's nothing like the impact in power vs efficiency but that's fine with me and what I expected.

Sorry for highjacking the thread again, but what I said I have no interest swapping out calibres. For entire last year I had no place/club to shoot and I was tuning the 25 cal FX Impact like every day until madness. Now my time came to shoot and train.

At the time when I ordered my 22 L2 there were no replaceable CF bottles at least not so widely popular, and for this same reason I got the 22 expecting for more shots counts.

But honestly a single calibre platform what I really prefer, and sooner or later my 22 barrel will be in classifieds, so I have no plans for repr and didn't follow that technology.

Yeah I can understand that, gonna go .25 instead? See if your impact barrel slides in .;)

You don't have to shorten it, OAL is 40 inches with a 700mm. That's 5 inches shorter than a red wolf with 5 more inches of barrel.

Looks long in the pic a page or two back but it's not bad and probably the same weight as with the 350mm edgun barrel. Even with a CF sleeve on it. (It's rigid)

Well the .stl file is on page 2, so either put in some work yourself and get someone to make it from that or pay Geoff to make one for you. The .stl file didn't quite work as the threads didn't work and the hole needs to be ever so slightly bigger than bore size. Honestly better out of metal than plastic IMO

The design and r&d is done, not sure what else I can do for you.
