crossman 157

just bought a Crossman 157 resealed at Toy's show .177 ANY hint as to shot count or days unshot that a cartridge lasts ?
My plan was to shoot one shot per day and see how long it go's
my 150's & 157's hold air for weeks. i would say strong shot count 30 - 40 my pistol shoot is in my basement, so climate controlled.

I don't get as many USABLE shots per cartridge as anyone else for three reasons.

1) I always soup-up my 150s and 157s, even if that's only moly-lubing the hammer and spring to make the firing behavior that of a well-tuned gun. 2) I don't shoot my Co2 guns below about 85 degrees F. 3) Being a power and accuracy SNOB, once velocity drops about 30 FPS below peak I don't consider the remaining (20 or so) shots usable for anything other than wasting pellets.

I get 20-25 usable shots per cartridge from them, despite caliber.

A healthy 150/157 will hold Co2 pressure for months or years. Air or gas cannot escape a sealed chamber.

thanks . time now here is 1pm the 24 hour mark to see if a leak is in this gun , so out to shoot for a while .
ok shot 46 till just a click heard = no C02 , last few pellets were very slow , just wanted to see , now i can shoot till i hear a slower shot .
OH 58 degrees outside , 10.5 grain Crossman domed ( got on sale TS @ $6.50 ) most likely will shoot H&N 8.64 match FT and 7.0 Wadcutters
