My current 1720 configuration is shooting at 11.56fpe with Crosman 10.5gr pellets. Talked with Roy at Mountainair Custom Airgun and he recommended not adjusting the hammer stroke on a regulated 1720. So, the hammer stroke is fully CCW (against the stop). Didn't count turns on hammer spring adjuster.
Here are the details:
Configuration:
0.105” TP
Huma Regulator set at 1740psi (120bar)
Hammer Spring at ?
Hammer Stroke at zero turns CW from full CCW
DonnyFL moderator adapter
TKO Moderator
Starting fill 3000psi
Pistol gauge at 1740psi (regulator set pressure)
Altitude – 7126ft
Barometer – 23.21inHg
Temp – 69*
Pellet – Crosman Premier 10.5gr
Shot count: 10
Low: 702
Hi: 705
Avg: 704
Spread: 3
STD Dev: 1.1

I just checked the tune with a ten-shot string. I'm used to regulated PCPs with a lot more air storage than the 1720. So, I'm in the habit of using a ten-shot string to check my tunes on regulated PCPs. As I recall I'm getting a little over 30 good shots before I fall off the regulator on the 1720.

This is a stock off of a Crosman 140. I mounted my Prod in a 160 stock.
A small amount of wood work, ditch the gauge and get an Mrod trigger.
