I got a few crows in my woods behind my house today. I made a makeshift blind along a downed tree where I could rest my bipod and called them in with a mouth call. They would land in a big oak 60 yards away to see what was up...it was madness and mayhem for a while. When I took the first one out, they went crazy as they didn't know what was up as they could not hear the rifle go off over all their racket using the Huggett moderator. I ended up taking out five of them before they decided to head out of dodge. I'm shooting the Nielson 17.5 gr slugs .22 cal. at 980 fps. and they were absolutely smacking them...:)

Love it when you score and the rest go nuts. Smart birds but all that goes out the window when they lose it. Plus for silence of airguns as takes them awhile to understand what's happening, just watching comrades fall out of the tree. This is also reason single-shot will never be for me. WM

Oh YEAH! A Cricket taking out 5 crows, who woulda thought...😂👍!? Those NSA 17.5gr are my go to slug when pesting with my RAW on ground squirrels and starlings! Excellent shooting and photo!
Thanks......I found out that this rifle shoots them by chance.....my son in law bought some to try in a rifle he had, and I tried a couple in mine and it was shooting them awesome.....I just got a new order of seven boxes of them yesterday...:)

I'm pesting them, I don't eat them, but I gave them to a person that does.

Very nice! Don't have crows in my area, but ravens are everywhere. Nice to nail them once in a while

That is awesome ! I haven't done that w/ any gun for some time. I tried a set up this Fall in some standing corn along a newly sprouted wheat field where the farmer had spread manure. I had a half dozen decoys out & used three different mouth calls. I got four chances & missed all four times! I was shooting high every time as my Stoeger Ranger was sighted for 50+ shots off the silo. Good to know I still was able to get them into the setup. Next time maybe...

I've done the same thing. All but one of my rifles are zeroed at 50. I come across something 30 or closer, forget to hold under. Kick myself in the butt every time.
