FX Crown MKII cocking issue

My Crown is essentially brand new. It has the Huma 14.2 gram hammer, Huma heavy hammer spring, and the modified hammer spring guide. All this was installed new and before the first shot.

Problem I’m having is at times when you pull the cocking handle back, it will not cock without pulling on the trigger slightly. Doing this will allow it to fully cock. It doesn’t do it all the time either. You may have no issue for 8-10 cycles, then it will act up and not cock without pulling on the trigger slightly at the same time. You may have to cycle it like this for 1-5 consecutive cycles. Absolutely drives me nuts, especially when you’re under the clock and does it several times.

I’ve talked to some folks with the same setup, and they have never had this happen, and I’ve talked to others that it happens to them as well.

Anyone know what is causing this and how to correct the issue? I would greatly appreciate your help!!

Keith

Take your hammer spring out and debur it/polish the cut ends. Clean out the trigger group of any debris. Adjust trigger if needed. Those are my recommends. I had this issue once, and it was from metal shavings from the sharp hammer spring. But possible trigger is out of adjustment.

Other than this I've had no real issues with the gun. Mine is a mk1 continuum. Bought new.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have a .22 kit coming, and I was thinking about taking all of it and check everything. I’m for sure doing it now and will polish the spring ends for sure.
