FX Crown MkII Superlite Barrel Liner/Shroud Spacers

I've decided to buy a set of the barrel bushings for the carbon fiber liner sleeve from Cape Fear Airguns, as I now know I'm going to buy a Crown MkII Continuum in the very near future. And since I've seen similar style barrel bushings come and go off the market, I want to snag them now.

And then looking at the FX carbon fiber liner sleeves, I'm running into this at multiple websites...

"Will not fit Superlight barrel systems (FX Crown or Dreamline)"

Is that just because of the stock wagonwheel style liner/shroud spacers, which is solved with the Cape Fear style spacers, or am I looking for a different size carbon fiber liner sleeve for the Superlite barrel? If a different size, who has them, as Superlite versions aren't popping up on a Google search?

Thanks!

Yes.
I spoke with Alex at UA, told him what I was doing, he verified that "Will not fit Superlight barrel systems (FX Crown or Dreamline)"
because they do not want you to use without the spacers. I said I will put one at the muzzle end, he said that will still not get the UA approval.
But now with the Cape Fear option, imo, everything should be good to go.
QBall has a good thread on this, as he used a carbon sleeve and one spacer at the end, and had incredible results.

Edward I would open it up and look. I just used electrical tape on both sides. No issues at all…Even in the Arizona heat the tape holds up…When I see the tape breaking down I just replace it after a good cleaning.

tape is what i use also on my 600 & 700mm barrels
i have 2 spacers on my 380mm barrel with no tape and they have never moved.
all 3 barrels have CF sleeves.

Forgive my ignorance (or not!)
What is the purpose of the carbon fiber sleeve on a superlight barrel?
I was under the impression a cf sleeve was not needed on them

As i ve established it - so pls read : as far as my own Crown-experience goes, as well as what i ve seen fellow shooters do-

For .22 Crowns shooting any lead up to 25 grains (at 52-53 fpe max) in standard superior, there s no immediate need to go wrapping the liner up in a carbon sleeve. The factory spacers suffice, although it may be recommendable to clamp and fix those spacers with one or other means.

In the meantime, Long_Gun_Dallas does have a point, there' s indeed some -very normal- harmonic flexing in play. Always is, but all the more so at raising energy output out of a Crown superlite.

Hence,
For those wanting to go shooting 27 grains and up (out of a Heavy Superior liner), installing a carbon sleeve (together with custom printed spacers) might prove an asset in some instances. I ve never done it but i know of some Dutch 100m shooters who have. And they appear quite content with it.

At the same time i also know some 100 m shooters with outstanding outdoor accuracy results shooting 25 grain .217 H&N and 25 gr Red.Monsters out of a plain factory Standard Superior Superlite kit. Myself included. These Crown shooters have all 'fastened/secured' the factory spacers in their .22 Superlite kit. Some of them i know to have added a 4th spacer. But i have not because up until today there s been no reason nor cause to.

Reduces harmonic flexing of the straw-like liner. It's not needed but greatly curbs tune sensativity, and ammo pickiness. In my experience.
