Crown upgrade from .177 to .25

You seem to have tried everything and are still getting lower that expected velocities. I’m starting to wonder if the gauge on your regulator is giving you false readings. FX is known for their less than stellar gauges. I have personally asked them to replace gauges on two of my rifles. They were happy to replace them under warranty but I wish that they would use better quality gauges in the first place. One of mine was off by 20 BAR. If you had a reg gauge that was off by 15-20 BAR (either up or down) then that could explain your tuning trouble.

What is your fill source? Does it have a gauge that you trust? If yes, then you can compare it to the main tank gauge on your Crown. How closely do they match when you fill your rifle? If you know that your main tank gauge is accurate you can then use it cross check the regulator gauge. If working properly they should match each other when your pressure drops low enough that they come “off reg” and it’s time to refill the rifle. I hope that makes sense.

I wonder if you have a lighter spring from the .177. I put the FX slug kit in, minus the weight, and also put a Huma tuning spring in. With my IHS at less than max, I will easily over-drive my valve past #15 on the power wheel at 150 bar, so I still have to lower my IHS so the entire range of the PW is of use.
‘I’m not sure I worded that very well…I will try to clarify if necessary.
