Culling Chickens in Hawaii

Hi Airarcher66 & FinnT ,

Me and my 8 year old boy have just purchased our first .22 caliber air guns from Walmart today for fun target shooting,

Welcome!

Good luck with that. You might consider editing your post as it will remain in perpetuity if you do not.

I rarely have a complement for the moderators so I'll take this opportunity to thank them for short circuiting what could only have ended badly for our new member.

A little review of hunting regulations here so people understands better,

it is illegal to hunt anything with airguns on state lands,

it is legal to hunt mammals with airguns on private lands

it is illegal to hunt game birds with airguns even on private lands

it is illegal to hunt jungle fowl ( feral chickens) on state land regardless of method used

Jungle fowl ( feral chickens ) do not fall under game birds and are permitted to be hunted on your property with ANY method

Hope this will put some minds at ease.

Just bringing this up to the top of the page for better exposure.

Dropped this guy yesterday with a H&N hornet

Got good placement around his neck

from what distance? 🤔 interested how you get such good shot placement without a scope or a sight of any kind if more than a couple of feet from the end of the barrel?
