I bet they could come up with something much better than what exists now. I haven't actually shot an HW77, but I have fired numerous other underlevers and sidelevers and they have all been either somewhat awkward or very awkward to load. I can't imagine the current system is good for accuracy either. There must be a significant percentage of pellets that are damaged during the process of loading, at least that is the case with me. On some guns like the TX200 every 5th shot or so I'll have to fumble with the pellet to try and seat it in the breach or will accidentally drop it into the loading area.now i am just the opposite . I enjoy the physical workings of a bolt action . IF HW came out with a bolt action break barrel HW77 long i would put a prepaid order in . I know that would be silly but just offering as an example .
I don't like the Gamo Swarm autoloader, but it does demonstrate that a loading mechanism can work and I would imagine that if it was a single shot and a company like Weihrauch were the ones designing and manufacturing it that it could both be easier to load and improve accuracy. Maybe a bolt action would be the way to do that.
