If you have maxed out reg then reduce hammer spring till the group tightens up, the avenger’s hammer is a bit too heavy IMO.

That is the plan. However I still want a slug that will be accurate at max or near max power. So far the only slug that has done that is the Apex 41 grain flat nose banded boat tail. Max power they are right at 70 FPE and almost as accurate as jsb 33.95 pellets.

Try NSA 43 grain or 38.9 grain.

I have the 38.9's... they shoot ok but no stellar groups yet.

Bummer, slug is very sensitive to tune. You might need to spend good amount of time and slugs to get to where you need to be but if you found one slug shoots well then maybe stick with it.

I just ordered 600 more of the Apex 41 grains lol. Though I am still interested in getting a barrel specifically for slugs.

The 700mm shared is a Superior Heavy and set up to shoot slugs primarily.
With the 61.7 NSA & reg at @ 2400 it will do @ 115 fpe. Tho generally run it down @ 1800 where it cruises nicely in the low 90fpe range.

Also for reference I have tried 5 NSA slugs, 7 AVS slugs, 5 zan slugs, 2 HN slugs, 5 Apex ammo slugs, FX hybrids, and one Flannigan's slugs. 4 different pellets as well

How did it do with the 4 pellets? Sounds like maybe you did get a bad barrel.

Pellets is fine. It is very good with the jsb 33.95 both the original and Mk2's. Also got Seneca 35.8 grain, Seneca 43.2 grain, and air boss 33 grain copper coated pellets. Oh and I lied I do have some 37 grain ones made by someone on eBay but they don't shoot good as I don't believe they are made properly. Very large skirts and still lots of casting flash not cut off. The avenger is definitely a pellet barrel but it has been interesting trying to find a decent slug that will work with it.
