I was in the same boat, while looking for a custom FT stock for my Gen1 Marauder. I contacted a few well known stock builders, including Steve Corcoran, and I did not find any custom FT stock builders. My search led me overseas where I found Gary Cane Gunstocks: http://www.garycanesgunstocks.com/
Financially, this option is not to be taken lightly... and wait times are quite long; (i.e.) I ordered in May, and my stock just went into production.

I guess limited demand = limited interest in meeting that demand. Still seems like someone on here knows "a guy". I'd be happy to get just an inletted blank and do the final shaping and finishing myself.

Thanks for the input guys. gonzav did you get the get the LGU stock from FTS? I've looked at them but never talked to someone that has one. Really what I'd like is to find someone stateside to get the barreled action into a blank. I'd do the rest. Uj

What rifle?
If you can find a used stock that would be the way to go. If a person has say an AA510 and they had a $600+ FT or BR stock made and they are switching rifles and selling off that $600 stock adds nothing to the resale value and it's better to sell rifle (w/factory stock naturally) & stock separate.

John for Fied Target shooters, regardless of what gun want custom made hand made tailored suits exactly to fit them when they find their best shooting gun action.
I think resale value is the last thing in their mind and you would be really surprised how much money many are willing to spend and often exceeding the price of the gun. I know someone who has bought a $2500 custom target stock and that is just the stock without any added on much needed accessories.

John I don't have a particular rifle in mind as yet. I'm just trying to find out if there is anyone out there building FT AG stocks today. I've seen some pictures of beautiful work done in the past (Dave G, JM, Paul B, and Steve C) but nothing current. Being a lefty, the odds of my finding a used custom FT stock made for any gun are < 0.
CA I'd bet that $2500 custom stock was a dandy but that's more than twice what I'd be willing to pay for say an AA TX200 stock. I've had more custom target shotgun stocks made (for some higher end shotguns) than I care to remember and there $2500 only covers labor. The cost of the blank is extra. John is right - it adds little if anything to the resale value.
The Field Target Shop offerings look interesting but it would be nice to get some info from someone who owns one.

I've ordered things from him and his work service and price are awesome.

I got involved in refinishing a couple of stocks. That and chasing after grandkids kinda brought the custom stock search to a temporary halt. I did get an interesting PM from a member who has a Steve Corcoran stocked (LH) TX. He's not really interested in selling this rig right now but the pics he sent helped refine my ideas about what I want and how it should look. Uj
