So @Keyman62421 got me wondering about getting a RAW... How does one order a RAW 1000x with the shroud and moderator instead of the non round standard. And is it just as quiet? I'm guessing i should just give them a call but that's the easy way.

You are correct..call and let them know exactly what YOU WANT and he (Martin) will build it! You should ask for the 1/2 20 unf....the easiest to remove and or replace a moderator or he can build you one to your liking. I have an older HMx and it has the OEM conventional LDC, it's very quiet but it is expoxied on....

Thank you. I guess at this point I like choosing a moderator without dealing with epoxy. I guess now I'll need to pick up the phone. And I knew that before asking.

In the end it was between a Crown Contiuim a RedWolf or the TM1000x lrt. This will be my first American made airgun. I had a pleasant conversation with Rachel at RAW and placed my order for the LRT. I probably won't see it until Xmas but they don't bill until it's ready to ship AND a big plus for me is they give a great discount for veterans!

Personally…I would drop my money on a used one.
And sent to AZ…have him tune it exactly for what u intend to use it.

The latest lrt's can be had with no moderator, just a carbon sleeve with a thread protector. Veterans discount you say?
