As I've said before, quality is like buying oats. If you want fresh clean oats, you have to pay a fair price. If you are satisfied with the oats that have been through the horse, they are a little cheaper.

I'd like to thank both mj102 and A.G.R. for clueing me in on what to expect to pay a for custom stock with figured wood. This thread was really eye opening. I had thought the $400 I spent on a stock from CSUK was a lot.

Pictures when you get it please. What did ya get, 500, whet options? I have a 700 for my 98 but one for a 30 is on my list now.

I also ordered one. I have a thumbhole from them for a HW95. It's a beautiful stock, but I was a bit disappointed due to the lack a figure despite paying extra for premium walnut. But I still think it was worth it, I'll post some pictures once the new stock arrives. Here's a pic of my other one:

You guys are so lucky. I e-mailed Custom Stocks again to see if they would ship to Canada. Not a chance. Crow.

How could you blindly hand your money to someone for them to decide what is figured and send that. That’s plain sawn ..

Before Covid I shopped in Michigan 5-6 times a year. Birmingham was about 4 1/2 hours away, now 6. It was my half way stop to Chicago.
It’s because it’s made of wood, aftermarket I guess is taboo. Rifles with wood stock, no problem, but not a bare stock, can’t have that, drives me insane.
Maxtrouble I wouldn’t want to carry it over the border, especially now. Not worth the trouble.
I’m ready to buy stocks but can’t find them.

Stock arrived from Custom Stocks UK on Friday. Very fast turn around and two box packaging. Luckily it flew through customs. Dusted off my HW30 and realized that I had left it cocked for at least two months.... 
They did an excellent job on the stock. The top of the comb is lined up perfectly. My HW30 slid right in. Really happy with the way it turned out. I highly recommend one. The stippling is awesome and the schnapel front end cups my off hand perfectly (hard to see in the photo).
I have a new Savior rifle case showing up this week for it. Great rifle cases!
Good thing I have an extra HW30 Vortek kit stashed away for just such an emergency
I took Monday off, I know what I m doing now 
Scope is a Hawke 2-7X32 Airmax and a BKL 260 droop mount, one of my favorite combinations.
They did an excellent job on the stock. The top of the comb is lined up perfectly. My HW30 slid right in. Really happy with the way it turned out. I highly recommend one. The stippling is awesome and the schnapel front end cups my off hand perfectly (hard to see in the photo).
I have a new Savior rifle case showing up this week for it. Great rifle cases!

just looked at Canadian customs US into C and as long as it is finished wood their is no problem . maybe cause it has the word gun ?
just looked up UK to C and as long as it is finished wood it is ok , no additional paper work ?????????????

Maybe go through your store in town ? see if he can order from custom stock UK ? maybe they will ship to him ?

I feel sorry for you Canadians. When I lived in FL, I met some Canadian folks who stuffed their car with all kinds of things to take home with them because it was so much cheaper hear. The man said he made wine at home because a $3 bottle of wine in the States cost him $15 in Canada. That was 15 years ago. Can't imagine what it's like today.

I contacted Custom Stock twice. Back when the pound fell and a few weeks ago. They will not ship to Canada. I think it’s customs.
I once came back from the Caribbean with a Souvenir made from palm for my grandson. They went up one side of me and down the other. Couldn’t imagine if it was Fentinal.
‘I’ve had offers, where members would take delivery for me and drive down to bring over myself. Before this political BS it was too risky to carry over.
I’m going to have to find out from customs, what the issue is for sure. Crow

Oh, the bureaucracy is insane. On top of that, if your shipment runs in to an activist anywhere along the shipment process your stock will end up in the trash. And nobody seems to even know their own laws. So ignorance rules. CS UK ships to the US every day with no problems but try having anybody else ship one. It will likely be confiscated. That's why airgun parts distributors in UK won't ship stocks. A lot of this is a result of gun hating EU. Canadian bureaucrats think they're "Little Europe".
