Custom Walnut Stock For The New Altaros M24

The stock is complete. Started mounting the scope and stalled out with a set of medium height rings that are just too tall for my taste with the added height of the adjustable picatinny rail under them. I ordered some low rings, so now waiting on them to arrive.

Until then here are some beauty shots of the rifle in the finished stock.

Very nice.
And just to outline as it seem to be a big problem in the world.
Many think just CUZ they go and rip something off a shelf somewhere and bolt that to their car or whatever that they then have a custom car.

But NO you dont, you just have a modified car / rifle / computer case / whatever

Something like this is a whole other ballgame.
Thanks!

Loren,
Beautiful stock, brother. Nice custom cnc work.
Let us know how your M24 is shooting.
BTW, what caliber is your M24?

PM me if you have any operating questions with your M24. I have about 1000 rounds of .25 cal through my M24.
Thanks Rod

It is a .25 cal. I have been at the casting bench working on trying to build up a supply of slugs for it. Low rings are scheduled to arrive on Sunday via Amazon. Hopefully, they keep that schedule and it is not the end of the day when they deliver.

Thanks!

I suggest you get a box of the Altaros Queen 60 grain slugs with a 240 bar regulator settings for 835 fps. Then compare with your own casted slugs. t would be interested in hearing how they compare.

I don’t know that I will be shooting it that hot. The factory 85fpe will probably do me well. If I want to shoot something hotter I will step up to one of my .257’s

Good to know. I have yet not taken a shot between 51 to 199 yards. I would be great to hear how the M24 performs at intermediate distances.
