Air Arms CZ 200

Hi pianogun
I love your pistol
And great engineering
I dont need to ask about accuracy
Simply beautiful
Thank you. I like it. It's comfortable and like you pointed out a laser. I am trying to get a bit more power out of it. Now it's shooting the JSB 13 at 850 fps. I have installed a stronger spring etc. Now the barrel is 13inch. A shroud and internal baffles to quiet it down. I either will need to machine another bottle converter with a larger plenum or go to 15" barrel to get another 40 fps out of it. I just want to get around 20 ft lbs. Now I am around 16-17 ftlbs.

Hi pianogun
I would go plenum route as to keep it compact " I know it's more work for you but your obviously talented on the engineering side.
Have you opened up the transfer port at all.
As you may know these guns were never meant to be a power house to start with.
Its been a while I messed with mine now but I think regulator was about 1300psi which gave me about 15ftlbs dialled back to 11.5 ftlb uk limit.
It took a while to get it all singing off the same hymn sheet .
Shot count is ridiculous compared to the standard tube lol.
Mine is 22 caliber and barely audible at 10 yards" just the hammer sound
If you haven't already try some slugs through your gun you might be surprised even at sub 12ftlbs .
The only other thing I can say is set the trigger correctly as you can lose fps if it's not done cock on.
I think you and your little old lady have got some good shooting times coming up.
Them nats knackers ain't looking so safe anymore round by you lol
Please let me know how you get on😁👍

I am afraid that I will eventually need to increase the plenum volume. Now it is shooting the JSB 13.4 at 750 fps. Not bad. Yes I have incrased the TP path from the valve to the Barrel to 3.25 mm. It did increase the power a bit. I also worked on the check valve on the tank and went with a lighter spring to increaser more dwell time. Also reduced the profile of the check valve to let more air to go thorugh. Now it is regulated at 2000 psi. Any more pressure and it chokes resulting to a reduction of velocity. Like you said this was never ment to be a power house. Kepp in mind the barrel is only 13". I am sure with a longer barrel I would squize a little more power. My last move is to incrtease the plenum size... We'll see.

Dang... I remember when these were only $200.

Can the extended tube still be acquired?

Here's mine. I love it and it's not going anywhere till I'm dead.

Well, I replaced the barrel from a 13" to a 15" and it did bump the velocity to 780 fps with the JSB 13.4. That pushes the energy to 18 ftlbs. It's right were I need it to be for Extreme Field Target. Later I might make a drop down converter with a bigger plenum (if I am bored and out of projects... never happens). Below is the final configuration.

Hi pianogun
You will have to excuse me abit as I had a subarachnoid brain haemorrhage 2 weeks ago so I'm not quite back on par yet.
I've just noticed the picatinny rail " may I ask if you made it as its perfect.
I'm glad your happy with your creation
I think you have one stunning pistol that is going to be hard to beat
As I'm sure you already know the s200 just feels right in your hand it's hard to explain .
We always need people like you who think outside the box 👍😁
And to you dead on dont ever sell yours as you will regret it instantly.
The bigger tube is not really worth the outlay for the extra shots it gives you hence the reason we have gone down the bottle route which itself is trial and error to get right.
Stick with what you have and just enjoy it as it was meant to be " you can always use a single shot loader to slow down the filling process.
The testament to these rifles is how long they were in production " that alone says it all dead on👍

I hope you feel better and your whole self soon.

I bought the picatinny raiser rail in amazon. I was going to make one, but when I saw this I figured I make it work.

You will need also two dove tail-to-picatinny converters.

For the pic rail (Gotical Picatinny Riser Mount) in the Amazon search bar type:

B0D2DQDBF4

and for the Dovetail to picatinny adapter type:

B08CBSSBRS

As far as the shot count, I lose count. I really need to do a count from full. I typically fill to 250 bar (3600 psi) and get over 70 shots at 18 ft lbs. If I fill to 300 bar (4350 psi) I get around 95 at 18 ft lbs. I have not counted for 12 fpe. My assumption is that I will get about 60% more shots (110 to 140 shots). I can always get a bigger bottle for chaep in Aliexpress if I want to. It’s great! I have now 3 CZ200 and to your point I am not selling either one of them. I have other more expensive air rifles, but the CZ are so simple to work on, easy to shoot, and the CZ barrel is just outstanding. I can get pellet on top of pellet at 30 yards with this pistol on a bag rest. That is excellent.

Take care,

Eric

Hi Eric
Thank you for your kind words
And thanks for the information on the rail " I don't know how I missed it lol
I vaguely remember about 160 ish full power shots at 12ftlb regulated." which is a massive improvement over the tube.
I can also put lead ontop of lead at 30yrds no problem in 22 cal.
As you say eric the cz barrel has outstanding accuracy.
You've got to be happy with what you have created eric "it looks mint 😁👍
