Anyone have experience with these in .22 cal with slugs? Looking to purchase another taipan to build a dedicated .22 slug gun.
Hmmm…starting to wonder what .216 would do…The weather was finally nice enough to get "Sniper" out for some slug time. It was 51 degrees with 10 mph gusts of wind.
She's running the 700mm CZ barrel, dual power plenums, heavier hammer spring, and HUMA reg set somewhere around 130-140 bar. Currently, pushing the 24.8 grain NSA's at 965 fps. It's using exactly 3 bar/shot. That's +/-40 regulated shots per fill.
The preference for the .2165 24.8's was indicated dramatically at 50 meters. Three 3-shot groups and two 5-shot groups all came in under 3/4" and some under 1/2". Considering the wind and that I wasn't holding for it I'm stoked! That should be sub-MOA at 100 meters with the right conditions. The .217 and .2175 were much harder to chamber and the accuracy was poor. It's amazing what that .0005" difference can make.View attachment 327372View attachment 327373
