I guess it's only a problem if it's a problem? I am a beginner, rank amateur and shot these this morning with my 25 Vulcan using JSB Heavies. All were shot from my black and decker work mate and 2 rolled towels as a rest from 50 yards except the upper center target was from shooting sticks. One magazine or 9 shots per target. To me, for my skill level, there is no barrel issue to be concerned about.
Ha! I have the same shooting table! Have to laugh, but it folds up nice and easy to carry and put away! Sorry got off topic. No problem with my carbine. Doc
I went 7 for 7 on House Sparrows at 60 yards over the weekend. My Vulcan CZ barrel doesn't seem to have any problems. AJ3, that Work Mate sounds like the ticket for cheap and portable. I'm using one of the wife's wrought iron flower pot tables for now. Now I can justify a new bench for shooting and getting household "honey do's" done at the same time!
CZ may make the barrels but the manufacturers are the one's who do the final fitting, lead, and crown. Thus what MAY be a issue with crickets has nothing to do with Vulcans though they may both use CZ barrels.
The guy who posted that video is a talented gunsmith. If you have a Cricket and want to learn how to fix and tune it watch his whole series that he did on this topic. Improved the gun substantially.
