Diana D75 finally

So I have been struggling trying to get this 11mm front sight on my D75, finally seem to have gotten it. I was shooting 7g Meisterkugeln at 12 yards. I was worried maybe the gun had not been timed properly by the seller so I decided to do the turret test. All my results are below, there are about 12 shots in that target, I think they went in one hole except for one I pulled.

I think it's timed properly, I also pulled the trigger while watching the gun, it didn't move. What a blast to shoot. Anyone that hasn't tried one do it if you ever get the opportunity. I feel very blessed to have found this one.

Very cool. I never knew they existed. It's rare to see a springer on a bipod so it must be special.
Congrats
Ron
The most amazing thing is you get the sight picture and pull the trigger and the picture doesn't change, a hole just appears. Other than a little noise I wouldn't even know I pulled the trigger. If you are ever in the neighborhood Ron you have to try it.

What's on there now is a Anschutz 8mm spacer and the sight, all 11mm dovetail. I used the Walther 1mm pin you pointed me to and it seems to work fine once I installed it correctly. Problem now is the rear sight is maxed out on elevation and it is still shooting a bit low at 12 yds. Next step is to take out the 8mm spacer and see where that puts me. I have another adapter set up but it is 2mm higher than what I've got, so without changing the 4mm rear sight spacer it won't work. I'm also almost maxed on windage too, not sure if that is a result of the pin or not. Still have a little work to do but at least I know the gun functions fine and is accurate.

you talk about timed right and there is no such thing in reality on Giss System guns
oh, sure they have to be spaced right but the gears will be in the same spot they were no matter what the spacing is correct or not
are the majority of these rifles or pistols space right when done by the owner, i would say no not perfect
the rear step washer has to have
.3mm space between tube end and washer lip
could the washer that you took out do that after all the new parts, maybe, maybe not
so, what do you do if it doesn't, order some new parts from Germany and wait 6 weeks to get them, or push on, there are 6 different sizes and if you were .2mm off would it matter
the bottom line is if you do not have all the different sizes of washer, fillers, breech seals and that is why these are hard to work on because you need all the parts to do it perfect

The rifle came to me having already been rebuilt, I would not attempt it. I just wanted to verify the lack of recoil with the turret test. All I have done is get the sights it came with sorted out. It shoots very nice, both power wise and shot cycle.

D75's are very nice shooters !!!
Have had mine since 1981
Not to derail post ... just sharing the love of these classics and the STOCK shape/profile they used.
Love the stocks so much that I found one w/o an action and modified it to run a PCP action within it
