Dad's 457 LSS CF came!

Mine comes on Monday but my dad got his early! Looks like an absolute beast! I paired it for him with a sight mark citadel 3x18x50 FFP and we have several bullets to try. I bought NSA 340g and 405g and a 340g swaged bullet from Alco.... Not really impressed with those. The nose of each bullet looks different and will probably be inconsistent. The coolest looking bullet is the air boss metal tip 340g hollow point. It's sharp enough to draw blood on a firm press of the finger and looks like it's got some good ballistics.

The gun is almost as tall as my 9 year old! I also bought lee molds for casting my own 340 and 405 ammo. Man I haven't been this excited in a long time!

Unfortunately we don't have big game Hunting here in Ca but I am hoping to move to Idaho or some other big bore friendly state sometime in the next couple of years. If not I might drop 4 grand to take my old man toTed Nugents ranch and blast some porkers. Kind of an expensive way to get bacon but it's all about the experience. Until then I will just have to be content target shooting

Have you shot any animal with them

when you are ready for cast:

I also have the 450gr and 500gr .458 molds (necked down to .457) that I have yet to cast. Maybe next week.
