New in 1979 Single shot pellet or BB repeater 250fps BB's- 180 fps pellets. With a few Variations, it went from a heavy Diecast to plastic around 1990. It became BB only around 1984. In 1991 to 2000 it was made with a square barrel and was the 288. This one has a 230fps average. It is the early bb/pellet version.

Professor,

I think the style of the Daisy 188 has to grow on you. I was thinking, "Kind of mechanical looking," but you hit the nail on the head with, "Star Wars," gun. Fairly accurate, quick shooter and seems a real, fun plinker. Fit, finish looks good and lines of that handgrip hit the mark. Video sound quality indoors is crystal clear but outside light really helps close-ups, guess each setting has it's strong points. Thanks again for third close-up and cocking explanation, I was a little confused on that loading block action till I saw it up close. Couldn't agree more with deadhorse, your dedication in keeping us mindful of our airgun heritage is unmatched and invaluable. Hope you have many more years ahead to do so.

Thanks, WM
