Daisy 717 shooting low - sight defect?

Hi all.

My new Daisy 717 consistently shoot low although I regulated the rear sight down to the very bottom. Still ‘zero’ is way lower than it should be.

Anyone with similar experience?

Hi Vasilis,

You mentioned you're a novice so don't take this wrong-to raise your point of impact you RAISE the rear sight. This will point the barrel upwards. Hope that helps!

How can I take you wrong John? How stupid of me....
The funny thing is that two days ago I was explaining the concept (the correct one ) to my daughter using simple geometry....

I was shooting my 717 yesterday in the garage while waiting for files to upload-your posts reminded me I had one. Mine really demands a smooth trigger pull!

I regrettably sold mine to a friend who bugged the heck out of me after he shot it with my improvised scope set up using see thru 22 dovetail scope rings clamped to the barrel head shots eliminating pest birds and rats in a warehouse at distances from 6 to 11 yards with effortless pumping and ultra quiet report. It was ridiculously accurate shooting cheap Beeman Black coated hollow points that's made in China and Gamo Match and Wal-Mart Crosman Premier cphps. Later sorely missed I later purchased a 722. 747 and a couple of 777s and I must say the 717 would give it's LW barrelled brothers a good run. YO!
