My Daisy 853 started leaking air out the barrel, so I replaced the valve stem, spring, orings, and wiper. It’s still leaking air. Anyone ever reseal their 853?

Yes, that’s not the problem.
I’ve had this gun for several years, just recently started leaking. It lets a loud hiss out the barrel, and all the air leaks out in a few seconds. Seems like it has to be the valve stem not sealing. I’ve cleaned out the valve body and replaced the valve stem and spring.

Hi,
While I'm certainly not an authority, I've been doing a lot of the setups and repairs for the 853s for our club members in our winter air gun league. I ran into that situation once and after some research read that a light tap directly on the valve to positively seat it might help. I would first disassemble the valve assembly and carefully check for any gunk on the valve seat. Check the valve for any damage. Then reinsert the valve, and using a punch or dowel, give the valve a light tap to firmly seat it and reassemble. Worked for me.

Have you tried Generously lubing the pump? Try using Alphabet org auto trans stop leak quick fix. Extend the pump handle all the way then generously apply you want It to to into your air chamber It will swell up the seals and may get you shooting again.
