Tuning Daisy 880/922 help.

i just bought a new piston rod with seals for my daisy 922(same as 880 but in .22).
put it in but now my pump handle wants to come ajar VERY EASILY. i noticed that the pump handle has pressure the last 2” or so before it closes. i cant remember if it did before. never had any issue before with the pump handle not wanting to catch. any ideas for me? thank you.

Have you tried cocking it before pumping?

the pump handle wants to pop open. the gun has to be cocked before it will pump up, so yes. the spring catch pin seems fine. if you are familiar with an 880, it seems like there is too much pressure on the piston arm. almost like it is a tad long. if you know what i mean.

Hold on... Is yours the old or new model? OK I see yours is the old style. Were there 2 different part kits available?
