The extreme spread over 10+ shots was 36fps. BIG!
Problem:
The cocking handle when opened fully (left in full open very briefly) and closed quickly does not allow sufficient air to enter the compression tube / cylinder for a full charge.
Solution:
If cocking handle is opened, and left in full open, for a full one second or more the gun can breathe in enough air for a full charge to get a consistent FPS. Doing it consistently the spread is now 6fps.
* If you leave the cocking handle open for longer than three or four seconds the FPS will climb another 15fps.
I love shooting it and get in a hurry to make the next pellet go into the last pellet hole so now it's even better slowing down a bit. Now I time the full open to be the same and it pays.
