Damaged Scope?

Hi,
Recently bought a CV life 3-9×40 air gun scope. Was sighting it in, and went to reload, and went to put my hand on the barrel. The bipod I got was not good, and it slipped, and dinked the ground. Keep in mind that it was a minor hit, but when I went to look at it again, the scope hadn't moved, but the reticule did. It seems to be fine now, but don't wanna put 250 shots in it and then have it break and can't return it.
Its my first post so I am new here;don't know if this is the right section or what
Thanks to all that help.

I dropped mine from 5 feet onto concrete. I couldn't believe it. Surprisingly it perfectly fine. If its a quality scope I wouldn't worry about it. A good test is from 25 yds shoot at a point on a paper. Bullseye or whatever. Then go 20 clicks left still aiming at same point a fire 1 shot. Then 20 clicks up.fire. then 20 clicks right.fire. finally 20 clicks down back to your zero and fire, essentially shooting a square. If the last shot is on your zero your good.

Alright. Was gonna add in that it was having some issues with the zoom adjuster being moved. So essentially if adjusts its zero correctly and the square is made, then it is good? Also, is there any explanation for it being moved?(not asking you to research it, just wondering if you know why it did that.)
Thanks for answering BTW.

You should remove the scope and recenter it. There's a good post about that here if you search 'centering your scope' . If you don't already know how. Or Google it. If your zoom adjuster is tight or not working correctly then that might be a problem. The reticle is free floating on springs. I think centering it will realign everything
