Damn breech screw!

Hey guys, 

For those with crosman 13XX, 22XX, 23XX, 24XX models.... did you guys ever notice this huge breech screw when you pull back the bolt? The pic is from my 1377 (stock), and there's this huge divet created by the breech screw that causes all my pellets to fall head first just enough they don't go smoothly into the barrel. It makes it so I have to manually guide each pellet into the barrel. I never noticed this before... do you guys have any solutions?

I tried unscrewing it a bit to make the surface more smooth, but would prefer all my screws to fit tightly.

Use a pellet pen.

That's common issue, other guys suggest to fill it up with candle drop to level it out, for me , I cut off a .177 wad cutter head and jam it in that hole.

I just point the gun down and drop the pellet in so it doesn't even touch that area. Candle wax and pellet pens also werq as mentioned. Otherwise yes it can be a pain with some pellets.

Yeah I have that problem too and it sucks. I thought about Filling it up with Elmers glue because that glue can easily be taken out if I need to later.

Thanks for the tips. So far it's been okay with me.backing out the screw enough for it to form a flatter surface for the pellet. I like the Elmer's idea too. I might try that. I tried candle wax but I'm clumsy and my results sucked
