Tuning Dampening material for synthetic stocks

I have a HW97 with synthetic stock. The rifle has a slightly different feel when shot. I've tuned it to <12 fpe and filled the rear of the stock with packing styrofoam and some wheel weights for balance. The inside of the forearm has some slots that can be filled. I've considered trying foam ear plugs. Can anyone recommend a dampening material for filling these channels in the stock?

Adhesive weather strip. It comes in different thickness. Easy to cut to shapes needed. Get some thicker than the channels. Or layer it. Easy to remove once applied.

I have used it for soft bedding wood stocks.

I believe this comes In .25 and .50 inch also.

i dunno ... what about a pool noodle ? its almost season, i was going to get several to shove in the gap of my garage roof to, multiple uses ya know lol ..

Dont hold me to it , but when i seen this the first thing popped in mind was plumbers putty.. look at that as a option. Fill in the forend gaps and slide a plastic bag in the butt and fill that as needed.

I've used polyurethane sheet for dampening vibration and reducing noise.
This would be my first choice of material for what you have in mind.
