DAR G2 vs CAYDEN

...the DAR seems like the no brainer choice @ $299 but is it...???...

...the Cayden has those Kral Puncher guts, a nicer stock, and a 5 year warrantee...and another pound of fat...

...I cannot find anything to complain aboot how mine works/shoots...

...someone asked if I would buy it again and if the DAR was not around I would have said yes w/o hesitation...

...all I could tell him is that I did not send the Cayden back...

I think it depends on how much you paid for your rifle and if I serves its purpose.

Frankly speaking the Cayden doesn't appear available in 177 or 25. Additionally the msrp is much higher. And if course it is much heavier.

I bought mine as a "if you don't have an airgun borrow this one" rifle. It's one that will see action 3-5 times a year in the bush, not the bench.

I have a Cayden. For $450 using “the code”, and considering it includes a 5 year warranty... I think it’s a pretty sweet deal! 60 shots + out of a non-regulated 3k psi tube gun? Awesome!

Gen 2 DAR is definitely on the radar and seems to check a lot of boxes. $150 less than the Cayden, but only a 1 year warranty from a fairly new company ...

Either way I think you should own one of each so you can share your own honest review between the two! 💩

...wow...thanks for posting that...really makes this thread...!!!...

...any chance of an accuracy test...???...I am especially interested in how the 18.13's shoot...

...it seems the difference in weight is bigger than the difference in ballistic performance...

...one would think the FPS spread would correlate with accuracy...

...this thread is probably not making things much easier for anyone trying to decide...Lol...

The DAR 22 and Cayden are just about neck to neck as far accuracy goes, with one exception. The Cayden does not like the Hades! The DAR shoots them as well as the 15.89 JSB's. Here's a target showing these 5 pellets shot from the Cayden. I don't have picture of the target for the DAR, but the JSB domed pellets were just as tight as they were from the Cayden. The DAR is less pellet picky...

That's the problem with guns for some manufacturers! There is too much leeway in pricing. I hate what FX asks for their air guns, but at least they set a price, hold their retailers accountable and won't let them undercut other vendors! Yea, they are more expensive but at least you don't get buyer's remorse because the price dropped $100 a couple days after you bought it!
