DAR Question

Yesterday I recieved my DAR .22 and I can't get the magazines to lock into the gun. Everytime I cock the gun the mag falls out. I recieved a black metal mag but my manual says I should have a black plastic one with a clear top. Do I have the wrong mag? I just don't see how this locks in. Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming we are talking about a Gen 2 (stainless bolt rather than brass), the magazine should be aluminum. The Gen 1 was plastic.

The magazine is held in by a ball detent…a little spring-loaded ball in the breech. If it’s not there or not protruding far enough, that’s the problem.

You could try loosen the Magazines screw.

Yes there is a dent in the mag and a little ball on the gun, mine does not fall out, loosen the mag screw will not help on the dar mag

My detent is missing completely from the receiver. 

DAR is taking care of me. Should have it worked out soon.
