Daystate Blackwolf or ghost carbin

Wife gave me the ok to buy one last airgun for hft target shooting, the blackwolf or the ghost the cost is only 200 bucks difference between the two.
Ohhh I’ll bet that the blackwolf is $3-600 more

Part 2
significantly different in this way:
bullpup
traditional
The traditional rifle style will balance better in the sticks and provide an easier eyebox for Hft

Blackwolf seems to be a ghost 2.0 in different form (from a 30k ft perspective). Ghost you can grab for under 2k though if you wait for a sale, Black Friday the HP went for 1.9k. I don’t think there’ll be a Blackwolf sale anytime soon… so the price difference in reality and with a bit of patience is probably more like 1k. Plus I’d probably get the laminate in case of a Blackwolf so even more $. Difficult decision anyway since the Blackwolf is very tempting :)

I would exercise some patience in making a decision. Black Wolf has not been out for a week yet. All we know about it is the influencers “like” it and the factory says it is great. So far nobody has owned and shot thousands of rounds through one etc. lots of new guns have some bugs to be worked out after release.

I hope this doesn’t come across harsh, because it is not intended that way…

I would suggest you start making some purchases to see what YOU like. You have a few threads asking about what you should buy, but you are going to get a lot a comments about what other people like. I think you need to figure out you like.

Nobody has a Blackwolf yet, so it will be speculation on that. You can’t get really good answers on something people haven’t tried. They are guessing too, just like you are guessing.

Mostly, this comes down to bullpup or rifle, and nobody can help you with that but you. You need to get some in your hands to find out. Buy a few used and try them, or find a shop, even if you have to drive several hours, or find some people on here that will let you shoot with them (many will!). I can tell you that many people love bullpups and will tell you how many of these bullpups are the best rifle around. While I can shoot bullpups, and I have even loved a 1 or 2, I would much rather have a rifle platform. The best thing I ever did when I started was go to an airgun show and hold some rifles.

I’m not suggesting that people don’t ask questions for help, but some questions can’t be answered by others.

And to give you my answer, even though I’ve never even held a Blackwolf… I would say Blackwolf, because I tried the Ghost twice and didn’t like it either time. I have loved the two Red Wolves I owned, and the changes they made are exactly what I wished they had done years ago.

Let me predict the future if I got a BW.
Guaranteed I'd be dialing that BW HS adjuster by accident with my thumb, then missing stuff, then wondering why, then after so many misses it'll occur to me what happened, then I'll wonder why it doesn't have a cap over it which was the first thing I thought of when I saw the video of them adjusting it.

I would assume that hammer spring adjuster have clicks to it, so should not turn too easy.
If its like the ghost and it looks like the same adjuster. It turns pretty easily. Personally on that style steup i think a screw type adjuster with clicks would have been better. Another possible negative i see is to me it looks like its going to be fairly nose heavy

I'm glad to see Daystate developing a new non-electronic gun on a full-length rifle platform. I'm especially interested in the "eight point" adjustable trigger. Their mechanical triggers have traditionally been very good, but not especially user friendly for adjustment. Interesting rifle.
A cassette style trigger is a plus 8 oz to 3.2? Lb pull
