anyone own one ?? How many hours can be expected from one? Is the coalescing filter on it enough by itself for producing dry air ?
How long does it take to top off a 45 min from 3000 psi ? What kind of filtration is included on it ? Thanks for the reply.I'd recommend the basic Omega Air Charger if you're just going to be filling a couple of tanks per week. We (Team Centercut) have one for our events, and it works great. Approx $1500. Very quiet, clean, reliable, fills faster than I thought it would. Highly recommended.

I think it takes about 17 to 20 minutes from 200 to 310 bar. We always keep the tank above the compressor, and vent it every 5 minutes, so we don't use any aftermarket filters. The key is location of tank and venting of the compressor. It also has built in shut off, so you can just set the final pressure and it will turn off by itself. It does not have filtration included. How long does it take to top off a 45 min from 3000 psi ? What kind of filtration is included on it ? Thanks for the reply.
Curious why you'd recommend the Air Charger over a more robust, proven design, with better cooling & filtration?I'd recommend the basic Omega Air Charger if you're just going to be filling a couple of tanks per week. Because I've had both, and have had better performance (reliability, ease of maintenance, equivalent fill times) with the Air Charger vice the Daystate 110vac model. The Air Charger is MUCH quieter, can easily be run indoors in AC spaces, and AoA has the Raptor repair technician on site if necessary.Curious why you'd recommend the Air Charger over a more robust, proven design, with better cooling & filtration?
Fair enough, thanks for sharing your eperience.Because I've had both, and have had better performance (reliability, ease of maintenance, equivalent fill times) with the Air Charger vice the Daystate 110vac model. My 110vac DS/Coltri model on lasted about a year (between 15 and 20 hours run time), the 3rd stage went really bad (pressurized the crankcase and blew the oil dipstick about 30 feet in the air), and the Coltri business in Oxnard, CA wanted $110 per hour to repair it, and had NO IDEA how much it would end up costing (it was no longer under warranty).
I disagree that the 110vac version is more robust, both designs are proven, and cooling is not better. In fact, the 110vac DS Coltri runs much hotter than the Air Charger. As far as filtration, the 110vac DS/Coltri has the same filtration as the Air Charger - none - they both have moisture separators and a vent valve for moisture removal. But you can easily run the Air Charger indoors due to its quietness and reap the benefits of dry air-conditioned air.
My comparisons are NOT of the newest Super Leggero version of the DS/Coltri Compressor. The one I had was the older 3 stage version. These are just my opinions, take them for what they are worth. The Team has been impressed with the performance of the Air Charger at our "away" tournaments....
If your Daystate 110v compressor was a 4 stage, then it had a Coltri MCH-6 pump unit. The Coltri MCH-3 pump unit is a 3 stage.Fair enough, thanks for sharing your eperience.
My 220v Coltri (4 stage) has been running strong for at least 8 years (hope I didn't just jinx myself) and I recently sold the 110v 4 stage MCH-3 that I won at EBR 2022. Looks like your right, it did not have the extra desiccant filtration that my MCH-6 does. But it was ridiculously quiet!
after watching a friend go through this simular issue with lesser compressors i juts bit the bullet and got the AlkinStarted with a cheap Tuxing (it made it 30 minutes) then to a HIll EC-3000 (it made it 11 hours and is back for warranty repair) and now a Coltri MCH3 - have not changed the oil yet it's still new, I should have just bit the bullet and got an Alkin! I will probably be close to one now with all these compressors. Hopefully the EC-3000 will be returned and back to working and the Coltri is used for tanks and will hold out for a while. I should be able to alternate between the 2 to make sure one or the other is always running. If I had it to do over again, I would get the Alkin!
