I have a new 3 stage LC110. I just ran the originally requested test at the start of this thread, with the stock hose into a closed valve on the tank. It took 70 seconds from bleed valve closure to the electronic automatic shutoff at 4600 psi indicated on the compressor's gauge. It reads slightly higher on my tank gauge, about 4700.
The volume being filled and the flow rate (minus any leakage) determines how fast this will occur. On the LC110 the water separator has a fair amount of volume, plus the volume of the substantial filling hose. Some compressors like the Yong Heng have much smaller water separators and shorter hoses so will take less time at similar flow rates.
I did this measurement with a video to accurately capture the start and end times.
