Daystate Daystate Delta Wolf..... A bargain of rifle?

The problem I had was that factory mode was giving me unacceptable groups at only 17 yards. I am not informed enough to speak towards the factory hammer / dwell calculations, but they simply did not work at various reg pressures. I did also try the method recommended by you and a couple others found online. I also used screen shots from the .25 tuner and it was just bad accuracy. It came down to a whole bunch of trial and error to get pellets stacking and the pressure I landed on did not start this low…it was just the one that would stack hunters / hunter extremes at 20y (14y for the Crow Magnums). I really don’t want my fat fingers to go through all of that again and the domed pellet / slug profiles will have to work at that reg pressure cause I don’t want to do this again.

If the profiles hold and all that is needed is an initial clearing shot to get back to advanced speeds I will be okay with that.

edit: Crow Magnums don’t like speed and advanced mode is only way to get that low.

The first shot on my alpha wolf safari in .22 is ALWAYS 20-30 fps slower after it sits for a long while.
Then the second shots onward are perfect. No matter if how I set it up. Sounds like a lot but at the distances I hunt, that difference doesn't really affect my shot placement at all. I've learned how to adjust and live with it. Yes, I would prefer it to no lose the initial FPS but it's apparently the nature of the Alpha Wolf Beast (or at least for a lot of them) to do so.

Yesterday I notice a VERY HUGE difference on my Delta. I have the settings to shoot at 950 fps the 44.7 grain pellets.

First shot was at 640 fps second corrected and went 950.... All next shots at 950.

I am of the idea that this is a common defect on regulated rifles. I should worth for engineers to try to solve it.

You need more reg pressure. If pressure ie to low gun will search. Try this. Go to factory mode. Input pellet wgt, speed bbl lgt. Set reg to 150 bar or recommendedpressure. Within 5 shots you should have desired speed. Now now degas and lower reg pressure until its 5 bar above minimum pressure to shoot desired speed with accuracy. The gun will remember the last setting after being turned off. Now you can store this in advance mode if you like. This way works for me. Others milage may vary.
The 5 bar above minimum pressure you are talking about , is it the minimum pressure shown in the factory tables at a specific stored speed ?

In a situation like that, would a dry fire correct it?

It has not been common in any of my regulated rifles. But, I don't buy $3K rifles, so maybe it's an added feature!

Yeah, something is wrong with mine. Loaded up an advanced mode profile from yesterday and after the dry fire it was doing the proper 845 fps. I made around 40 shots and then the next shot dropped to 699 fps with a noticeable poi shift ( DW never went into sleep mode). Double checked my handwritten notes on the advanced setting hammer/dwell/bar and everything was still correct and matched the DW’s screen. I shot 4 more shots at the 699 range and then let the rifle fall into sleep mode. Woke it back up and it started shooting 845 fps again.

This had happened in the past and I just assumed that there was user error, so it was nice to confirm that something wonky is going on.

Edit: adding screenshots.
