Daystate Delta Wolf Performance Video

Thanks for the nice video.

I have a question about upgrading the existing Delta Wolfs’ performance to this new Performance Model (I.e. I just want to increase the performance and don’t want to upgrade the grip/rail/butt pad/etc).

In the video, the only performance related HW update I heard about was the bigger transfer port. If I take my DW’s existing ultra valve and make its transfer port bigger, will I be able to get the same/similar performance of the new Performance Model?

What caliber? From what I remember when I had mine apart, enlarging the port on the ultra valve would be no benefit to .25 caliber and under. It’s already big enough. The barrel port is the likely candidate to increase, though it is a single port, so careful not to hamper pellet loading if that’s what you are shooting. Slugs can use a little bigger port.

Mine DW is a .30 caliber. DS is coming up with the new 28” barrel for slugs. So, I figure I’ll get one of those. Now the question is if I have to make the transfer port bigger.
It says the transfer port is bigger already on the performance model, i want one in
177. My compact .25 is a beast with a Lothar Walther barrel, but an actual slug barrel from daystate would be ideal.

1. The .177 fac DW performance does not come with a pin. It still has same probe as the standard DW. So the bigger transfer port has no effect on the .177. The power difference is only in the extra 110mm length on barrel + ultra fire valve.
2. The factory sets only comes with 2 pre set pellets weight to adjust speed on.
3.The DTD cable cannot read the tables from the DW Performance - it only reads 17" and 23" barrel with empty tables even though the rifle contains 17", 23" and 28" with tables for pellet weight.

This is a major problems that Daystate must solve. Especially number 2 and 3!

I am not sure if #2 is an issue for DW. After 4 shots, the SW is supposed to learn and update the table. However, if #3 is not resolved, we would have no way to verify if the table has been updated or not.

As for the slug probs, take a look at the DS website. They list two 28” barrel kits, one for pellets and one for slugs. Since the kits come with a prob, I assume the difference is the prob.

PS
For larger calibers, I’ve heard DS has been experimenting with Submoa barrels (take it with a grain of salt, I just heard it in a shop in the UK). If that is the case, I hope they are also looking at updating the probe.
