Looking at both i like the looks of the air cylinder coverd complety by stock but the regal has the upgrades of more shots would like to know if it worth giveing up the looks for 20% more shots
Only you can decide that. I had the Huntsman XL and you are right, not as clean looking as the standard but it was nice to get another 10 shots or so but if given the Huntsman bug struck me again, I'd go short. Its a wonderful shouldering gun. Shoots very well, works very well.
I went to the Airguns of Arizona site about a week ago and they listed the Huntsman Classic as discontinued. Is that just AA or has the gun been discontinued by the manufacturer. The one I speak of is the one Ted tested a while back with the car with bad breaks in the background. I lusted after that one but I am on a Marauder budget.
I just got the huntsman classic XL .20 cal. I really like the look of the gun and it well balanced on my shoulder. I am still testing the accuracy of the gun using .20 JSB, can not wait to see how the gun can perform.
I shots some groups this evening in close distance but do not have enough time for a quality group and I have 2 things that surprise me: 1) The gun is LOUD even with the moderator (come with the gun). Beside the loud, the gun vibrate a little bit from each shot, not sure it's normal or something. Loud here means when I compare with the FX 400 in .22cal... 2) I dont know but my cocking bolt seems stiff and maybe heavy to pull. Is it normal? I watched Ted' video of the huntsman classic and in the speeding shooting footage look like the bolt is very smooth and easy cocking.
Please share your experiences! Or maybe I get used to with the easy and comfortable of the FX400 then....
