Daystate Huntsman Revere - high prices

The unregulated ones are $100 $85 less at least.

After recently getting an unregulated revere .22, I would say still worth it.

If you are thinking that prices of anything are going to go down in the foreseeable future, I think that you are incorrect. We appear to be heading into a period of inflation or hyper-inflation due to the 'I'll just print more money so I can spend more' syndrome from the very top. This attitude unfortunately negatively impacts the value of the USD as compared to other worldwide currencies, so anything built OUS or built with OUS sourced parts will become more expensive. Plus all of the other stuff, like with fewer folks flying due to the pandemic airlines are running fewer airplanes, so there is less overall availability of room for freight, so freight prices go up, other continuing supply chain disruptions, etc. All leading to most everything becoming more expensive.

I recently purchased 2 air rifles which I had not planned on buying, for 2 reasons:

1) They weren't going to be any cheaper in the future; and

2) One each was available at 2 different dealers, they were sold out/backordered elsewhere, and who knows when they might be available again.

Seems like reasonably priced buys in the future may only come out of the used market, but even those prices seem to be going up.

Spot ON..👍

P.S.: Are you guys also noticing the higher proportion of 'WTB' ads in the AGN Member Classifieds section currently? Supply of new guns is down (way down), price of new guns is up (way up), and many potential buyers are now trying to find any available guns, at any more reasonable prices, by scouring the used market.

And if you base the status of the used market on what some retailers have available, things seem to be drying up. AOA (at least in the past 8 months or so that I have been watching them) used to drop a ton of guns onto their 'pre-owned' page every 1-2 weeks. Many of these were really nice, high end guns available at a very reasonable discount. Some were even brand new, and AOA was using this section as a way to move some older inventory. But the AOA used gun drops over the past couple of months have been pretty meager, or so it has seemed to me. I thought that they might be getting some good guns traded in on the Delta Wolf, but I'm not really seeing this yet. A lot of seemingly bottom-of-the-barrel stuff that they are just trying to get out of the back room (lots more guns which are specified as leakers, don't have all needed OEM components, etc.).

Maybe this situation will improve some time this year when/if Delta Wolf inventory becomes more available in the U.S., and buyers have to trade in other rifles to help them crack that $3,400 DW nut.

Have FX prices haven't increased in the same manner? I haven't been tracking them, but I think they've been pretty steady over the same time frame.

FX increase their prices 50 dollar 2 months ago across the board and a lot of people were crying foul and FX owner for being greedy and drives a nice car. Guess Airgun manufacture owners aren’t allowed to make a buck and drive a nice car.

$50 for FX and 4 times as much for Daystate? You'd think if they are all affected by the same conditions the percentage of increase would be more or less the same.

I wouldn't lose any sleep worrying about Daystate and Fx making a buck.

Just got my invoice from AOA for a regulated Revere,$1,450. Yeah, prices have gone up $150. Let's see, that's about what I spend in an average month on bourbon, not much resale value there! Spend the money and don't worry about it, can't take it with you.

Seriously, I had 2 great friends receive cancer diagnoses, and we lost them both in 6 months. I'm not recommending being foolish about it, but if my family is okay, I'm finished pinching pennies.

Don't forget what has been done to the price of fuel! The US will once again not be oil independent...
