Daystate Huntsman Revere power

Hi all. I have a Daystate Huntsman revere safari .22.

It's a sub 12ftlb model but with 15.88 grain pellets it only at 10.6 ftlb.

I there a way to increase the power slightly. I have tried following one guide on YouTube that say can use a 3mm Allen key in the end and adjust the striker travel. Doesn't seem to work as can't feel a 3mm Allen key locating into anything?

Reg pressure is set at 100bar.

Not sure if can remove the end cap where the safety is to look inside and see if there is even an Allen key in there.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Gun has to be cocked THEN turn the 3mm screw until the screw from the bottom comes into view untighten and hold THAT one THEN turn the 3mm very little I think R is more power it won't adjust much then retighten the bottom screw. Hope that makes sense...only go about 1/8 turn...that worked on the older Regals not sure about Reveres...very easy to do so won't be difficult to check...stock must be removed for the procedure. Oh and 3mm takes a long wrench.

Yeah, you won't raise your fpe by going to a lighter pellet, just velocity. You really need to be able to work with both the reg setting and hammer tension to achieve good balance. If you are limited to 12 fpe by local law, then you might find some anti-tamper design elements. I like my Revere a lot, but like most Daystate rifles, it's not very owner friendly for tuning.

yeah I thought so. Yeah local UK law is we can not go over 12ftlb without a firearms certificate which ain't easy to get.

yeah it doesn't not seem to easy to up the power even only by a little bit. Had a BSA r10 before the revere and that was easy to adjust but still prefer the revere.

what would you suggest the best way to up the power slightly. Can you adjust the striker travel on them with a 3mm Allen key.

The end cap is where the hammer spring is. You can remove the cap and the spring is right there. You can add a shim to increase hammer spring preload - or swap it for a heavier spring. The 12 ft/lb version likely has a lighter hammer, if so, you will want to be conservative when swapping springs or adding shim(s).

This video shows how to adjust striker travel, which seems a good option for your use case. He has a VERY long 3mm allen key - that is likely the “key” trick to this striker travel adjustment…

I adjusted the power on my .177cal Revere. It did from factory 18 ft/ibs with 10,34grain pellets and 14,5 ft/ibs with 20grain slugs. Adjusted the springtension with a 3mm A-key. The power went up. 24 ft/ibs with 20grain slugs and 22 ft/ibs with 10;34grain pellets. I backed down to 22 ft/ibs with 20grain slugs and 20,5 ft/ibs with 10,34grain pellets.
Its evident how quickly the ft/ibs went up with heavy slugs with a simple adjustment. Over 60%…
Bare this in mind that when the 20grain ZAN slug only did 14,5 ft/ibs it would go though a 1/2” plywood board at 55yards.

I too had to see the YouTube video in order to gain some knowledge. I was left with the impression to increase power turn counter-clockwise which I did. That however decreased the power. Turn clockwise in increase power.

I used the same procedure with this unregulated .177 but I went down for higher shot count. Using 10.3 gr pellets a 1/2" piece of plywood doesn't stand a chance at 55ys (15fpe appx) I always used 1 1/2" wood at least to
absorbe pellets, note penetration @ 55ys...BTW two 10 shot groups back to back...with a 12x scope...that was three years ago haven't touched it since just shoot it...reason I always recommend Huntsmans. OP just don't go too much and check your crony forget which way is more or less very easy to do though.
