Is AOA the sole importer of Daystate PCP's also? I'm looking to buy another PCP and the answer may help me make up my mind.

Yeah I believe that they are the only importer for daystate but you can also get them from precision air gun hope this helps you out buddy

I am aware of Precision Airgun and Supply, however, I live in Michigan and if I buy from Jim, I have to pay sales tax, which depending upon the gun could be anywhere from 60 to 120 extra dollars added to the cost. Thats a lot of pellet money. The Regal Xl's are on sale for $1199 and that is very tempting to me.

But does AOA import them and distribute them to the other shops? That is what I'm trying to find out.

They all buy from AoA when it comes to Daystate so why not just buy from AoA? I'm a little bias because they have always taken care of me and they are 45 min away

I haven't had my air ranger .25 very long a month maybe, put about 300 pellets through it and very pleased with accuracy fit and finish! Magazines are easy to load but my experience is limited.

Whoever you buy a Daystate from, you'll have to deal with AOA for service / warranty issues so if your goal was to avoid that then you probably need to choose a different brand.
There aren't that many air gun stores that import, distribute and service themselves. Many act like sales agents and never actually touch the airguns they sell.
You might just have to deal with AOA and hope there isn't an issue. At least they could help you if there is a problem.... I like one point of ownership for that sort of thing.
As a tip if you are concerned about being left with unresolved quality issues, you can go directly to some manufacturers. I did that with Kalibrgun and they were fantastic to deal with. Great people who take a pride in their product. They helped me twice and in both cases I had replacement parts on my door step all the way from Eastern Europe in less than a week. I am almost positive that Daystate would be at least as helpful given how much they value their image.
