Daystate Red Wolf HP GCU2

Well this is my happy graduation 🎓 to me. I figure I can’t take a trip and I don’t get a ceremony so a new gun had to be the next best thing. So far she’s shooting really well. The GCU2 Must be the different then the one reviewed in The AOA video. They showed theirs on low power shooting around 890 to 910fps. On mine it’s shooting the .22cal 18gr at 1034fps on low. On medium it shoots the .22 25.39gr at 978fps which is perfect. I was hoping to shoot the 18gr around 890fps-920fps on low for indoor club matches. Looks like I’m going to have to invest in a programmer if I want to do that. Do any of you with a programmer live in Utah? I will pay you in beer or Diet Coke’s if you have a programmer and want to get together.

I have a Daystate programmer I haven't gotten around to play with for any of my RWs nor my Pulsars nor do I have the interest to do so at the moment since I got my LCS SK19. I don't have the desire to shoot much of anything else either. Instead of beer just send me 22 pellets lots of them to cover shipping and insurance if you want to borrow it few weeks to a month whatever. I'm not using it right now anyway. I'm debating on another Pulsar but a HP this time but probably won't be for a few weeks to a month I'm busy focusing on slinging lead full auto for now. Probably hooked on full auto till the Delta becomes available at least. Whatever you do most importantly you have to log down all your original values before changing any numbers follow AoA tutorial or you're gonna have to send your gun back to AoA for a redo. YO!

Your other option is to buy a Heliboard that gives you 11-12 power levels I have one in one of my 22 Cal Pulsars and 2 of them in my 22 Air Wolf's and thinking of swapping one into my 177 Air Wolf and they are worthwhile easy plug in drop in replacement boards I really think they're worth it however I am unsure on shipping from Greece to US due to lockdown. I would probably just program it first since it just may be enough for you. YO!

I received my .22cal HP yesterday and chronographed it today. 932fps (average) on High power with the 25.39gr Redesigned pellets and 888fps (average) for the 18.13 JSBs on Low power, which are right in line with what they should be. I think mine has the 2.0 GCU as it has the 4 wire battery. Perhaps you received a Safari in disguise, or possibly it was programmed differently.

Wow that’s a major difference between yours and mine. On high the .22 monster 25.39gr is going at 1030fps. Perhaps I do have a Safari in disguise. The test firing shows they used the 34gr beast making 65ftlbs on high.

If it's making 65ftlbs it's putting out Safari power levels. I could be wrong, but I think the only differences with the Safari model is the ART barrel and the stock when compared to the HP version. It would be interesting to see the shot count on Medium with the 25gr Redesigned.

hello slcrcflyer

congrats on the graduation and the present you got yourself. I saw your review on the RAW and expect that there will be on this beautiful Daystate soon. Is it too soon to ask which you prefer?

TIA

Thank you, the last 5 years for that MBA was a PIA especially when you have to work and raise a family. Hmmm better.... the red wolf may have a slight advantage, with the Donny FL tanto it’s is way quieter than the RAW but I would say they are equally as accurate.

All of the HP/SAFARI models now have the same 60cm poly barrel fitted.
