Daystate Red Wolf HP upgrade

The battery, board, and cable are the absolute necessity things but highly recommended are a hardened hammer, later valve stem, and replacing the safety block flat spring with an oring. The hammer will peen over thousands of shots to the point that metal debris will start to shed into the hammer pocket. The early valve stems had a very short spring shoulder that allowed the spring to jump out of the pocket occasionally when firing at higher powers. The flat spring will break at some point when firing at higher powers and the oring provides plenty of tension when the right thickness is used.
The GCU2 can also have the software updated if it hasn't been done already.

If you can program it, GCU2 is just as good. The Heliboard gives you convenience to change things like pellets or calibers without the disassembly/programming process but is no more powerful, in my experience. You're talking about switching for the cost of a battery cable with your takeoff board and battery. The recommended parts are still recommended if you go Heliboard and you would still need the battery cable .
