DayState RedWolf .22 HP Accuracy

Hi Guys and Gals,

Had a long night but wanted to get some shooting in with the RedWolf today....Beautiful clear skies here and minimal wind...

Cleaned the barrel and this is a 8 shot group at 42 yards using JSB 25.39 redesigned on high....

This was shot off of a card table using a throw pillow as a rest....Single loaded not sorted etc....

I am calling it a day as I can't beat that!!

AH I can see a shooting bench, a $400 front rest and a custom rear rest in your future. Great group.

Ha, I actually did!! I fired a round to the far right just to make sure they weren't completely missing the target!!

Checking out a rest as we speak and shooting table and maybe a few other things!

I will say without a doubt this gun makes me a better shooter than I actually am....I have the .25 version on the way also so will be interesting to see if the .22 or .25 is more accurate or if the are the same...

The 25 would have the same accuracy potential but it may have more movement when fired that could affect your shot so it's up to you to keep it steady.

Great group. 

Dam you, here I was happy with the Crown and Impact that I got over the last two months. Now I’m thinking that there may be a Daystate in my future.

I know that feeling VERY well Chris!!

I really had no intention of trying DayState but heard so many good thing I jumped in with a Pulsar, RedWolf .22 HP red laminate (the gun that shot the group today) and have a RedWolf .25 HP walnut on the way as well as the programmer from AoA.

Once you try the trigger on the DayStates and see what they can do they make anything else seem average.

I have multiple FX Crowns and Impacts and Boss and BobCats and MK1,2,3 WildCats and on and on and one of my FX Crowns in.30 tuned to 845 shooting lights out....The RedWolf is starting to make it not even a competition!!

I am not really a test stuff guy....More of a buy what I am interested in and play with it fella...

Have done some research on it but just not something I see myself using.....

Maybe start a thread and see as I am sure some members have experience with it...

Just not my thing....I am more a walk through the woods hunter and bench shooter.

I checked it out and it seems like for what it is it is pretty nice....Not sure it is worth the price but for guys who shoot off sticks etc. would probably be pretty sweet!

I agree, just under a thousand seems fair...I still may spring for one though. I do mostly ground squirrel, collard dove, and starling on farm land—thinking it would work ideal.
