Tuning Daystate Regal XL

While replacing the seals in my Regal, a small pin fell out of the trigger assembly. I can't get it in as the hole won't line up. Is there a way I can install it without further disassembly? I fear if I take it apart, it I'll never get it back together.

Well, my first thought (which my wife says is usually stupid), is to slowly cock it, and see what passes by the hole. But, you might end up with a cocked rifle, and no way to decock it, a sporty situation.

If you can find a good diagram of the trigger, that would help, but I could not. So, I'd probably start from the bottom, and take it apart. I think the springs are in the rear of the assembly, something to watch. These things usually are not as fearsome as they first appear, but sometimes they are. If you decide to disassemble, and get stuck, you're in a no worse situation. I've been messing with firearms and air rifles for a half century, and I've never gotten myself in an irreversibly bad place. Depends on your comfort level with such stuff. Hopefully you will get a post here that will make it easy.

I've tried lining up the holes with a tapered dowel, but it won't budge. I'm a bit out of my realm because I have limited tools. All but a few basics are in storage 1100 miles away. Of course, Douger knows where I used to live and could grab all my tools and drive them down here. 😁

I looked at some diagrams and it looks like the trigger assembly is screwed on from inside the valve area. I'm not comfortable taking that apart. I cam see springs and tiny pieces flying everywhere.

I believe you will find, if you remove screw over the trigger, and the 2 remaining pins, the trigger guts will fall out, so no need to go inside the action. But I have not had my Revere trigger apart, and I'm sure you will receive more knowledgeable advice.

After fiddling with it off and on all morning, with the help of my wife I finally got the pin back in. It took 3 hands to do it. What a pain. This is why I don't work on my guns. When I purchased the gun used from a dealer, they gave me kit to reseal it if neccessary. The only seals that weren't in the kit are the seals for the tube. I couldn't get the foster fitting off, it just unscrewed the whole end from the tube. I bought some o-rings from the hardware store and put 1,000 psi in it. I'll let it sit overnight ans sleep with my fingers, toes, arms, and legs crossed it seals the leak.

Thanks all for your responses!
