I'm with you on that one Centercut. I did manage to get out to 65 yards today with the help of my sister's back yard. Since I changed the tune just a bit (Thank you Michael), this RedWolf is even more amazing.

It was calm during the time I shot the targets below, and of course, not every group looked like these. I'll show you a couple of the best 5 shot groups to show what this gun can do. Oh yeah, and pellets straight from the tin.

You guys are some seasoned air gun shooters here with good experience with Red Wolf. Would you please tell me your thoughts on these groups? 

My RW .22HP clearly doesn't like JSB 15.89 gr., even on LOW power with an estimated velocity of 959 fps. It does seem to like the 18.13 gr fairly well on LOW power. And apparently likes the (old-version) of JSB 25.39 Monsters at LOW, MID, and HIGH power. H&N 21.14 Baracuda Match seem to be sort of "ok" at LOW power. And, I have an order of JSB "re-designed" 25.39 gr. Monsters in-bound as I write this.

But my question to you is, are these groups as good as you would expect from this rifle? They seem better than what I've seen other people's rifles do. But they don't even get close to the "one ragged hole" at 35 yards that some people say should be easy for a rifle of this cost and quality.

My shooting so far has been with pellets right out of the tin and cleaning the bore about every 300-350 rounds. (AoA has told me that with the RW .22HP I may need to clean the bore after 100-120 rounds, which seems a little excessive, but perhaps that will help keep the groups tighter? Would there be significant improvement by washing & sorting pellets by weight? Would I likely see better results with cleaning the bore every 100-120 rounds?

The targets have 1" diameter ring bullseyes, are marked with regard to what pellet and power level was used, and what scope adjustments were used. All were shot at 35 yards. Most bullseyes had 5 pellets per bullseye, except for the bottom row on the second target was 1 shot per bullseye.

What conclusions would you come to if you were seeing these groups with your RW .22HP?

That would be great, Hook! I assume you're talking about the 33.95 gr MKII. I'm gonna try those too. They supposedly group the best. You have a .25 cal. RW, right?

22HP. RW, I'm still on the fence with a .25 RW HP. My Renegade HP in .25 loves the 34gr MarkII. I don't shoot it much after getting the RW and the FX Compact. If the Carolinas ever get out of flood stage I should be getting my STX barrel someday? I'm currently shooting MOA at 100 yards with 25gr JSBs out of RW HP in .22cal. 975-1000 fps depending on the day. It's a laser guided hammer.

Cripes, if I could get 1" groups at 100 yds, I'd be turnin' cartwheels! I'm really anxious to run those JSBs through the ringer!

So far I've been shooting the 25 gr in my .22 HP with very good results. They seem to be very consistent even though I shoot straight from the tin. If it ever stops raining here, I'll get out to the 75 and 100 range and post some pictures. I want to test the 34 gr at 70 and 100 compared to the 25's and see which shoot better. EBR is only days away

@AnimalHitman - that's my buddy Dave's modified Bald Eagle rest. It's very, very nice! Course and fine elevation adjustments along with windage.

Crusher, your results are probably a pretty good proxy for what I'll get, Pushin' 25 gr at 950 fps is the same whether it's through a .22 cal or .25 cal barrel I guess.

Yeah, Oregun; that's cherry! It would be nice to completely take the human element out of the process to get a pristine zero and pristine groups. My DeadShot is close to that, but it doesn't have precise x-, y-, and z-axis adjustment knobs. That would be really nice.

Six hundred or so pellets through my .22 RW HP. I've been shooting JSB Jumbo Monster (redesigned) 25.39 grain pellets at 905 FPS. In that time the interior barrel o-ring has dislodged itself three times during the firing cycle. 

AoA provided more orings after first occurrence and did so hassle free.

I did not have this issue with my .22 Air Wolf or with .177, .20, and .25 caliber PCP rifles from other manufacturers. I've seen the RW HP issue mentioned by others, but I've not heard of any proposed solutions other than "put in another oring". 

Has anyone discovered or been informed by Daystate or the importer as to a permanent fix?

By "permanent" I mean oring replacement needed 6, 12 or 24 months, rather than every 200 rounds downrange.

Mark: I had one partially blow out of my RW .22HP at 961 rounds. It looked ok to me, so I reinstalled it.

Then, it blew out again at 1023 rounds. I guess it wasn't "ok", but it still looked pretty good. I decided to put in a new one (Viton) anyway. I'm at 1454 rounds at present and it is holding so far. I shoot mostly at LOW power level, with occasional use of MID and HIGH power.

You need to replace the stock/Buna oring with a Viton 75d. Issue solved.

You're welcome. I replaced mine a couple weeks ago. After removing the seal, I gave the barrel a good cleaning and seated the new one with a dab of high temp vacuum seal grease. Should be good to go for lots of shots.
