Daystate Daystate Wolverine R .25 cal

Just bought this airgun new from AOA. My first Daystate and second PCP (FX Crown). Even after researching on the internet, I’m not clear on how to adjust the hammer spring. Could anyone please provide a link, step-by-step instructions or a video? Would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Understand also that Daystate provides some excellent technical support, like the videos on their YouTube channel. This include both disassembly and re-assembly of the Wolverine.

I know that at least in the re-assembly videos, they discuss how to adjust the rifle's power using hammer spring adjustment. Watch this video from the 25:00 mark.

Hey, Bob,

I'll just copy you the material I have so far collected on my Wolverine R.

Hope it helps.
I'm not the wonder mechanic and gunsmith like so many here on the forums. But I adjusted power just fine, no big deal. 😊

Matthias

🔴 HAMMER ADJUSTMENT (EXTERNAL)
(HST, but technically it's hammer weight adjustment)

● Video at 25:22min:

● Video — here for Revere 12FPE, but the same for the Wolverine R HiLite:

● Daystate: Slingshot Valve explained:
▪ "I have to adjust the hammer throw.... in this rifle because of the slingshot hammer technology, you dont adjust hammer spring tension as usual. The hammer system has a screw in the center of the hammer that you can adjust forward or backward, if you adjust it forward, the hammer will hit the valve with more force, if you adjust it backwards, with less force ... This is the way to increase the speed in the hammer side, in this case there is no adjustment in the spring, it is directly in the hammer .... you have to find a balance between the regulation pressure and the hammer strike to achieve the desired power without losing efficiency. | Not sure if it is 3mm or 4mm, but first you have to loosen a little screw on the side that blocks de main screw for turning."

● Hammer adjustment for older, unregulated version ➔ and NOT for the R version!

🔴 REGULATOR ADJUSTMENT

🔴 REG Adjustment: Degassing + Disassembly
● Video:
● Rotate clockwise (CW) = to reduce pressure
125bar to 145bar: 3h-turn (the photo on the Huma webpage confirms this amount roughly)
● OEM = Huma
Huma shows its reg to be either 60-110bar — or 100-170bar.

Be careful here. I'm suspecting you want to jack up the power. While it may shoot well, your shot count may suffer. I bought a .177 from AOA and instructed them to adjust the power to 19.5 fpe which they did, but at the altitude and temperature of Phoenix. When I got it here in Wisconsin, it shot 21 fpe and my shot count was 57 whereas the specs said I should be getting 160. After much research, I found out how to adjust the hammer spring and tweaked the velocity down 20 fps and 19.5 fpe here at 265 ft alititude. Voila! Shot count was back up to 160. I love this rifle.
