N/A Daytate Huntsman Revere Regulated Safari

After spending months watching YouTube videos and reading comments on various forums, including here, I have decided that the Daystate Huntsman Revere Regulated Safari will likely be my first PCP rifle. I will be buying it from Airguns of Arizona, and they have a promotion when purchasing this rifle that includes a free moderator. The Daystate 5-year warranty was another factor in my decision. I believe the Daystate ranks high for its price point compared to other PCP rifles in its class.

I plan to use it for a variety of tasks, including target shooting and pest control on my property and on a friend's dairy farm. My targets will include pigeons, rats, squirrels, raccoons, and skunks. Initially, I considered the .22 caliber; however, I believe the .25 caliber will be a better choice for dispatching furry pests.

I have not pulled the trigger on this purchase but I do have an itchy trigger finger.

I appreciate any comments from my airgun brothers plus any other rifle recommendations.

Having a rather small plenum I would recommend the .22 over the .25 in that platform! I had one in .25 and not really enough power for the heavier caliber.
And shot count was really low too!
Great rifle though and an excellent choice for first PCP. I have a older Regal model in .20 cal that's one of my absolute favorites.

Great choice of platform, best sporter pcp built in my humble opinion. The only downside to the .25 is it is underpowered with a very small plenum like said above. I think this platform excels in .22 as I had a Regal in .22. They are light, very ergonomic, accurate, with a great trigger and excellent build quality.

I showed my wife the Black Wolf. She liked it and said she would buy it for my Christmas present.
Dang! You married the right woman..lol. Heck if you can get the revere now too A+. If that is the case absolutely get the revere in .22 and wait for .25 caliber with the black wolf

You should take some time and look at the used air rifles at the Airguns of Arizona website. I agree with all the other people that have reported that the Daystate in .25 is underwhelming. If I were in your shoes, I would call Airguns of Arizona. Explain what you want to use it for and they can point you in the right direction. There are currently a couple of very nice used AGT rifles in their used section.

I found the rifle to be too small for me. I am 6 foot, 205 pounds, so I am kinda average build.
The balance was also odd, so it was far from steady in offhand. To me it felt like a junior/womans size. Personally I think a HW100 or Air Arms S510 is a much better platform for a guy my size, and for offhand shooting.

I doubt you need a .25 . A heavy .22 is just fine for your mentioned use's . I do not think .25 has less expensive pellets as does .22
Just my opinion having had .25
EDIT great choice getting a Daystate Huntsman .

Another vote for .22. I have a regulated Regal in .177 and an unregulated Regal .22. The .22 was my first PCP. Very accurate, easy to fill and very reliable. Great hunting rifle.

I purchased the .177 for the mythical Field Target matches that never materialized in my area. Still a nice rifle and incredibly accurate as long as the wind is not howling.

Both are left handed and have beautiful furniture. Minnelli really knows how to make a stock.

Hard to go wrong with a Daystate, I have four of them now.

If at all interested in agt check talon tunes inventory first. He did have some Vulcans and U2’s on sale. A of A in my opinion is overpriced on the older ones they have listed. No way those are worth 900-1k.

I am 6 foot, 215 lbs and I lift weights so the rifle will be small for me too.

When did 6 foot tall and 205 become "average"?
