Tuning de-tune a BSA

Sirs / Ladies,

I have a BSA Goldstar SE .22 that I was going to use for Hunter Field Target.

i finally bought a chrono and surprise!! way overpowered. (900 fps/30ish fpe)

can this rifle be tuned down to 18 fpe??

Sure can .... being regulated would start with a simple backing off on HST, that not enough change out the hammer spring and go from there.

In .22 push the >20fpe limit with the lightest pellet it will shoot accurately.

i'm assuming hst = hammer spring tension? I'm new to pcp's so bear with me.

if that's true, how??

The smooth cover at rear of lower tube unscrews, behind it is a threaded adjuster.
