deciding between GX cs3i and cs4i

I was going to go to Amazon and get the warranty, but after looking at experiences with GX I think I'll go with their website.
My question is: is the CS-4i (power transformer integrated into the unit) worth the price difference? Right now with the sale and discounts the CS-3i is $314. shipped,
and the CS-4i is $603. I will mostly fill guns, but own a 4500psi tank, so possibly might occasionally top that off.

Hoping to buy once and be content with the product, and the only justifications seem to be a slightly faster and quieter pump, with a longer working cycle in the cs4i.
Don't think the speed of fill makes a difference to me, not sure if the water removal process in the 4 series is the same as in the 3 series pumps, but that would make a difference if it is better at removing moisture in the new design.

Personally, I'd go with the CS4 with the external power supply! It's the some compressor as the CS4i, it just doesn't have the power supply inside the case, creating more internal heat! It's $130 less than the CS4i so a much better deal with the same capabilities!

Don't forget the discount code GX10OFF to save an additional 10%. With the discount it's $486.00 shipped, which is a pretty good deal!

Well I'm glad someone posted their website. I found it last night and bought a CS4. After I bought it, I started wondering if it was actually a legit website. Like who the hell is AnKuFang2019@(mail provider).com and why was he getting my money thru PayPal?? I just sounded REALLY fishy with that email account. But I did get a tracking number today so seeing this post makes me feel like it actually wasn't a scam. Looking forward to getting my compressor!

Assuming you got it off the GX Official website it is legit. I posted this question a couple months ago when I was about to buy my first GX pump. The GX Official site was quite a bit cheaper than Amazon, etc. Turned out to be legit and now i have two pumps from them. Each took about a week to my door. The first one I got no confirmation email, tracking info, etc. the second one I got a confirmation email and tracking info. From the post I did a couple months ago a lot of people received no confirmation email about their order and the pump showed up in about a week. I do suggest doing a screen shot of the page after you order so you have your confirmation number handy just in case.

I bought from their site. They are legit. It was shipped from a warehouse in the US. I was nervous also, but my purchase turned out great.

Honestly, I think the absolute best way to fill airguns is from a tank - it is so fast, and so much quieter than using any compressor. The only real drawback is that it costs more, and you need to buy the tank. But you already have one!

Given that you have a tank, I would highly recommend getting a compressor robust enough to fill tanks so that you can go ahead an optimize what you already own. While the CS4 will cost more, it will fill the tanks and should give a longer life.

Also, none of these types of compressors are good at removing moisture (meaning both condensed water and water vapor still in the air charge) from the compressed air charge. You will need an appropriate desiccant filter with whichever you choose to purchase.

thanks for the input. I bought a 6.8L tank on sale for a great price, but it cost almost 20 bucks each time I fill and it's only to about 3500psi, and two trips to leave and pick up the tank that ends up taking 30min each way, so that adds up quickly. The CS4 seems to be the better option.

Still waiting for my CS4. After ten days, and no package, I emailed them asking about when to expect delivery and got a short, very short message saying it is out of stock and they hope to get some in a few days. I was offered a refund, but am going to wait a bit and see. At this point I guess that's the best option.
Who did you order from?

ordered from GXpumpofficial:

Paid with paypal, and got receipt by email . They obviously oversold their stock in USA. They now have the website as "out of stock"

Since you ordered from GX Official you will be fine. If they are out most others will also be out, at least I would assume.

I have had a CS3i for several months now & it has been working well fill my rifles. There are times that I wish I had bought the CS4i only because I have been thinking about getting a small bottle to top off when outside shooting. The cost difference is why I bought the CS3i in the 1st place.
Looking at specs of your looking to do a larger bottle or tanks the 4 is the one . If that extra money / price difference can be swung I'd like think your more future proof with the 4 .

I do read that guys usually end up going to a tank and kinda wish there 3 or l sate compressor ain't cutting it .. imho
