EDgun Deep scratch on Lelya 2.0 air cylinder

Just a couple of thoughts: I'm no metallurgist, but I don't think those scratches have any practical effect on the safety of the cylinder. I suppose, at some level of pressure, any scratch might compromise the bursting point of the metal, but I think that would be far in excess of your working pressure. That said, it is a new rifle, and the cylinder should have been replaced when you returned it. Their response impresses me as rather poor customer service.

Shaking my head reading this thread. Just a couple of weeks ago I took delivery of a Lelya 2.0 in .22 cal. from Brian at EdGun West. He was very friendly and patient in answering questions prior to the purchase, not so much after he had my money. The gun showed up with a deep gouge on the wooden stock towards the front and he also failed to include a fill probe in the box so I had no way of filling it. He wasn't there when I called but the guy working for him (Wyatt) did overnight a new stock and fill probe. Then next (and bigger) issue was the gauge was way off as compared to the gauge on my filling tank (about 30-40 bar discrepancy) and the gun would run down from 250 bar to below the reg. pressure of 125 after only two mags (i.e., 20 shots). Additionally, I'd fill to about 200 bar when putting the gun away for the night and in the morning it would show zero pressure. I finally got a hold of Brian and he pretty much brushed me off. Said the gauge discrepancy on the gun vs. my tank was normal, that I could buy a new gauge if I want even though this is a brand new gun, and that the advertised 40 shots was from a 300 bar fill when his webpage clearly says its from 220-120 bar. He straight up lied when there's conflicting information on his own site. I ended up sending the gun to my trusted guy (Rich Dudeck at Airgun Revisions) who went through everything and it turns out the gauge was completely broken with parts rattling on the inside and that the tuning was way off even though Brian had promised that he would tune the gun to shoot 4 mags (40 shots) at about 900 fps before sending it to me, which was another complete lie. I called Brian to let him know the professional "diagnosis" and that I had to spend a lot of time and an additional $300 to get a brand new $1700 gun working properly properly and I have yet to hear back from the guy. He's a true scumbag and shouldn't be in business. I would stay clear from Edgun West!

I feel lucky to live in the Netherlands. I bought my Leshiy 2 from Joost at www.airgunheaven.com I had some problems with grouping my shots. Tried different set ups but no luck. He asked me to bring the Leshiy to his shop and he took it to the range. The barrel was the problem, so he put a new one in(LW) and the problem was fixed. Got it back, free of charge. Thats how service should be.... Hate it when people only want to sell and if there is a problem they disapear from this planet...

@OatmealMu I was thinking that these scratches come from removing and replacing the air tube. All that’s there to protect it upon extraction and insertion is a thin o-ring inside of the barrel band looking part of the carriage. I put a little silicone grease on that o-ring. Next time I take my cylinder out I want to look at the screws you mentioned.

I don’t want to pile on, but EG West’s rep seems to speak for itself. I’ve had questionable experiences and prefer to buy from Spain. I have ordered from Francisco when I can. I’ve had positive experiences with the Spanish shop.
