HW/Weihrauch DELETE

There are much better guns than HW35's but they are I guess just very iconic! They paved a way in the 70s&80s for a powerful accurate well made German gun ! I love my 70s 35 & 35E but still think my FWB124 remains king in that fight! But nothing compares to my R1 and HW80s of the same period! They were the Mike Tysons of the day

I’m blunt. Sorry that’s me. If you are looking for sugar coated posts. Please skip over mine.
That’s fine, but you can’t be both blunt in posts and then sensitive regarding the responses you get -> right  .

We need to be consistent; members here know Frank to be very blunt too - but there mostly truth In what he usually says.

Nothing I posted was “untruthful”.

And how was I sensitive? By ASKING him why he bet money I won’t live to see 80?

Again, it was JUST A FKN QUESTION!!

It was 3 legitimate questions. But let’s get all pissy because I asked if it was an age/strength related.
FACT. Some do buy it because it’s easy to cock.
What’s wrong with wanting to know which reason leads people to buy them.

You know like food for thought as I’m not getting any younger.

I really don’t know why I’m bothering to respond.

Ask yourself, when you open a closet door, who will jump out? The boogie man or the tooth fairy? Most brace for the boogie man.
And so it goes on the forums. So many think the boogie man is gonna get them. And really, we all do in a way at times.

Now, If you think the boogie man is under your bed................... Saw the legs off your bed. Sleep well!

You called the 35 a worthless option in another thread. Now I see that you don’t really know what they are and you are confusing them with the 30. They are probably the best built Weihrauch. They have a short stroke which makes for a very pleasant 13ftlb firing cycle. Don’t knock them till you try one.

If you want to quote me. Get it right.

I said it’s a worthless opinion for me.
Have a Merry Christmas.

This makes zero sense 😂🥲. Maybe you need to lay off the late night snacks to avoid your bad dreams?

Merry Christmas to you to sir! My point was that from what I read above you don’t know what a 35 is. I think you assumed it was a 7ftlb gun, Which explained your odd statement about it’s worth. It literally has little relation to the 30. Think of it more as the father of the 80 with its screw in cylinder cap. The 30 with its thin wall cylinder would be more closely related to your really pretty 95.

The fact that the short stroke 35 could never be tuned much past 14ftlb to compete with the FWB was the catalyst for the design of the 80/R1.

Let’s see if I can explain my reasons for this post.
In the past 90 days I’ve seen a lot of posts with people buying HW30 HW35w HW35s ECT.
More than other models IMO

So I want to know what’s driving the recent popularity.,
The just from seeing these posts are, easy cocking, and accurate (what HW isn’t accurate?”)

I posed 3 possible reasons for the increased interest in these guns.

And the unintended butt hurt commenced.

So to put it simpler:

Why are the HW30 something’s suddenly the hot BB to buy?

Is that kind and polite enough?

I should add you don’t need to be kind or polite. You’re fine hard edged just the way you are. I actually prefer it.

That is the point, the 35 is a big gun(bigger and heavier than your 95)with all the cocking effort of your 95? I still think you should read up on the 35. I still don’t think you know what it is. I wouldnt be surprised if you joined us old guys and bought one!
Ok. Since you are stuck on the 35. Did you buy one recently? What made you buy one?

Actually, it’s a bit of a sad story. OK it’s not that sad. It just proves how dumb I can be at times I sold my HW 35E Five or six years ago. I don’t have one now and like I mentioned in the other thread I really miss it. The reason I sold it is I have a strict every rifle I have has to fit in the safe policy. I sold it to buy an R1 at the time. I love R1/80s and currently own 2. I have never been able to shoot any springer as accurately as that 35E. After seeing your post on the new stainless 95N and pricing them both on AOA I really feel the stainless 35E at their current price is a straight up steel. I’m trying to talk myself out of ordering one right now. what’s holding me back? Is that damn rule that I have to sell something first and make room for it in the safe.

Just hang it on the wall and be done with it.

I had the same rule, ended up buying a second safe, it was easier. :ROFLMAO:
